ONLINE REFUND POLICY
Dates are critical in determining whether you will receive a refund of fees, and how much you will receive. Please read the information below to determine your eligibility.
REFUND OF TUITION FEES:
The following refund procedure applies for students withdrawing from a certificate or an individual course:
If a student cancels 30 days prior to the certificate or individual course start date, the student will receive a full tuition refund excluding a 3% processing fee. If you would like to, or need to unregister for a course or certificate less than 30 days before the start of the registered individual course or certificate we can offer the fee paid as credit towards future courses. We cannot offer a refund in this circumstance.
The following refund procedure applies for students dropping out after the first day of class in an individual course:
If a student drops out within 30 days of starting their course, no refund will be offered however a credit towards a future course will be available. If a student drops out after 30 days, there will be no refund and a credit will be pro rated towards a future course.
The following refund procedure applies for students who are asked to leave Beat Drop for any reason:
If a student is asked to leave the school, no refund is available.
WITHDRAWAL INFORMATION REQUIRED:
To withdraw from a certificate or individual course, you must in writing, notify Beat Drop of your intention to withdraw. You may do so by e-mailing your withdrawal to firstname.lastname@example.org or by sending written notification via mail or in person at the front desk at Beat Drop. The address is: 1120 17 Ave SW, Calgary AB, T2T 0B4. Failure to complete a course does not constitute official withdrawal, nor does notification to the instructor, nor does lack of attendance, nor does dissatisfaction with a course. Refunds are computed from the day on which written notice of withdrawal is received. The postmark will be considered the date of withdrawal for refunds requested by mail. All refunds for payment made by credit card, will be credited to the appropriate credit card account. Payment made by check or money order or cash will be refunded by check, payable to the registrant. Processing of refunds takes up to approximately two weeks.
From time to time, Beat Drop may find it necessary to postpone an individual course or cancel a workshop, or make changes to scheduling for a course or workshop. If this occurs, Beat Drop will attempt to give notice to those students who are registered for the affected course or workshop, to the e-mail address or telephone number provided by the student in her or his registration form. It is the student's responsibility to keep Beat Drop advised of a current mailing address, e-mail address and telephone number at which he or she may be contacted. If a course is postponed or a workshop is canceled, or the schedule for a course or workshop are changed and as a result of the change the student no longer wishes to take the course or workshop, Beat Drop will reimburse to the student the fees for that course or workshop. Beat Drop will not be responsible or liable for any other expenses that the student may have incurred, including but not limited to transportation and housing costs and the purchase of materials and supplies.
